Coloured glass powders and frits are melted into clear gathers of glass before being applied to a large glass bubble in bands of colour. In this plate opaque and transparent greys, blues and aubergine black are combined over the clear crystal glass. This results in beautiful almost veil like textured colour with a hint of clear glass and bubbles peeking through to the clear glass.
