Hands on glass design and manufacture.

Partners Paul Edward Brown and Rowena Lloyd established eirian studio glass in 1989 ...  Based in the Welsh border town of Hay on Wye, we design, make and sell handmade glass, from our combined workshop and gallery.

Hot  Warm Cold 

The glass furnace is at the heart of the workshop. From here we gather Hot glass at temperatures of 1150 degrees and above, the glass is then shaped, blown and decorated by hand using many different techniques.
The glass kilns allow us to use the Warm glass techniques of fusing and slumping. Temperatures of 750 degrees allow the glass to gently fuse and slump the glass.
The Cold glass workshop is where we cut, grind, polish, engrave, drill, sandblast and ....... 
It is always the relationship between these processes, the material and the maker that shapes our glass designs.
